VGAPlanets (WinPlan)! The game of planetary conquest!

The Game:

VGAPlanets, or more specifically, WinPlan, is a shareware PBM (play by mail) game of galactic exploration and conquest. 11 races compete to reach an objective in a 500 planet universe. Each race has special capabilities that aid them in their quest. Each player picks one of the 11 races (only one player per race) and then sets forth to achieve the game objective. Players explore, mine and develop planets, and build ships to further their exploration. And yes, there are even battles among the races. Alliances can be formed (and broken), trading, etc are all a part of the game.

This being a PBM game, game play is not real-time. Turns are conducted at your leisure on your own computer. When you have completed your turn you email your turn file to the host (Me!). The host collects all the turns and then runs a 'host' program that executes all the turns simultaneously. A result file is then returned to each of the players whereupon the player views the results, conducts another turn and emails them to the host, and so on and so on.

Please note: WinPlan software is free but be advised the shareware version only allows up to Tech 6 capabilities for shipbuilding. Registered players can build up to Tech 10.
