PLANETS SUB-MENU:
  PLANETS:
There is a maximum of 500 Planets in the game.
Planet names can be changed by editing the PLANET.NM file.
Planets are the basis for economy in VGA Planets. They are the main source for creating Supplies,
  gathering Minerals, and creating Megacredits.
  Supplies are created by Factories.
Minerals are mined from the Planet's core by Mineral Mines.
Megacredits are gained by taxing Colonists and Natives.
  Planetary Scanners:
A Planet’s Scanners allow a Player to see Ships and Planets within range (Hconfig)
  Native Races:
There are nine different Native (neutral) Races to be found on Planets.
  Planetary Combat:
Planets only enter combat when a Ship attacks the Planet and the Planet has no friendly Ships in orbit to
defend it or when a Planet has a Friendly Code of ATT or NUK and an enemy Ship is in orbit.
All combats between Colonists take place on Planets.
  Warp Wells:
Every Planet exerts a gravitational pull on all Ships within 3 LY of the Planet. Any Ship within range
is pulled to the Planet's location.
A Ship doing an exact point-to-point Hyperjump is not affected by Warp Wells.
A Ship with a Warp Speed of 1 is not affected by Warp Wells.
A Ship Intercepting another Ship that is not affected by the Warp Well will also not be affected.
This has been changed by Host 3.22.043. Now Intercepting Ships are affected by Warp Wells if their warp speed is greater than 1.
  Climate:
Every Planet has a temperature reading. The temperature of a Planet can range from 0 (coldest) to 100 (hotest)
50 degree Planets are considered the most suitable for life and all Races and Natives thrive best in this Climate
except for the Siliconiod Natives and Crystals (Race 7), who thrive in heat (100 degree Planets).
